People matter

We already encourage a healthier way of life for our employees and our consumers and we have some fab partners that we work with to make other positive impacts on the world around us.

Our culture at LRS is to support the communities where we live and work, everyone who works at LRS is encouraged to take a day’s paid leave each year to have a ‘Grow Day’. These inspiring and motivational days are designed for employees to volunteer for our charity partners: The Wildlife Trust and The Dame Kelly Holmes Trust (DKHT).

We have an ambition to work in “harmony with people and nature”. We look to achieve this by supporting the communities where we live, work and operate. We work together with our partner charities, our employees, key stakeholders and the local communities and inject our Yatte Minahare! spirit into everything we do.

The Dame Kelly Holmes Trust

The Dame Kelly Holmes Trust is an inspirational charity that really makes a difference to young people’s lives.

DKHT works alongside world class athletes to engage, enable and empower disadvantaged young people.  Our partnership with them began in 2014, with the Trust’s ‘Get on Track’ mentoring programme. By working collaboratively and fundraising, we’ve widened the charity’s reach into Gloucester. So together, we’re able to have a positive effect on the lives of more young people every year.

We give them a sneaky peek at working life at LRS; they can get stuck in to day-to-day office life and pick up some key life and employability skills with motivational workshops. It’s all about helping young people discover what they’re great at and getting their creative juices flowing.

We’re really proud to be working with DKHT and super-excited about what the future brings.

The Wildlife Trusts

We’ve worked closely with the Wildlife Trusts since 2004. This British environmental charity is really close to our hearts and we regularly volunteer and fundraise to support them in every way we can.
