Building Maintenance Supervisor

Overview & Job Purpose

  • Supervise the day to day activities of building facilities and managing workloads and tasks
  • Undertake electrical proactive maintenance and general DIY
  • Oversee any contractor works, from start to finish, arranging them coming into the office, arranging RAMs
  • Undertake basic Portering tasks (Physical move of office equipment, setting up conference requirements and drinks replenishment)
  • Ensure general upkeep and appearance of the building, including decoration tasks
  • Undertake the maintenance priority tasks from Helpdesk Tracker e.g. changing door handles, painting walls, putting up clock hooks, general office repairs etc
  • Available to work out of hours to oversee planned external contracts works
  • Key holder for Suntory Building Stockley Park – out of hours response
  • Work with the M&E Contractor to ensure all tasks are completed within a timely manner to a high standard in line with the SLA
  • IOSH or NEBOSH trained
  • Fire Marshall Certificate
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Accredited to process RAMS

Key Responsibilities, Scope for Decision Making, KPIs

  • Supervision of the building Facilities
  • Risk assess task before completion, including assessment of contractor’s work
  • Fire Marshall & First Aider
  • Quality Control checks following meter readings
  • Monitoring stock levels of consumables
  • Provide ad hoc cover for Reception Duties as required
  • Legionella responsible person for Stockley Park
  • Manage the day to day responsibilities of the Facilities and Operations team

  • Contract Staff e.g. security, canteen, cleaners

  • Maintenance Contractors

Qualifications and Professional Experience

  • Electrical Engineering degree - desirable
  • City & Guilds 2330 Level 3 - desirable
  • City & Guilds 17th Edition qualification - desirable
  • Proven Experience in Building Management Systems
  • The following would be an advantage, however training will be provided:
  • CCTV operation
  • IOSH or NEBOSH trained
  • Fire Marshall Certificate
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Accredited to process RAMS
