Overview & Job Purpose

  • The purpose of the role is to work alongside the Brand Finance Business Partner, providing support to the marketing teams to develop their vision and strategy and to support sales delivery and profitability in line with plan. In addition, the role will business partner with the R&D teams for budget management and innovation support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Control and manage the advertising and promotion budget to ensure there are no overspends and to deliver the best ROI on our investment (through media econometrics)
  • Provide business partnering support to the Brand and CS&P team in relation to innovation and NPD pipeline, ensuring finance rigour in the stage gate process and tracking performance of launches and progress against the overall LRS innovation sales target.
  • Provide business partnering support to the Commercial & NRM teams on pricing decisions and in-year activation
  • Control and manage the R&D projects budget to ensure there are no overspends
  • Ensure commercial and supply alignment on COGS, demand planning and forecasts
  • Support the forecasting process from a brand perspective and understand and deliver insights for in year performance
  • Provide financial analysis using both internal and external information to draw insight and conclusions that lead to actions which improve LRS performance
  • Deliver finance training modules to up-skill the Marketing and R&D teams
  • Support the process of the financial planning for both the Commercial Planning Process (CPP) and 3-year strategic planning process
  • Build strong and effective relationships across LRS commercial functions to ensure impactful and sustainable solutions are implemented across the business

Qualifications and Professional Experience

  • Strong financial acumen
  • Qualified accountant with a proven track record of delivery
  • Ability to work successfully within cross-functional team & projects
  • Experienced in providing finance business partnering to FMCG commercial functions.
  • Experienced in International Accounting Standards for revenue reporting/treatment
